Another Divorce Suit Added to
Civil Docket of Court of Common Pleas

Mrs. G. J. Elden and Charles P. Edmunds have been appointed executrix and executor of the estate of the late Louise Frances Edmunds of South Washington street.

Paul Lillich has been appointed administrator of the estate of the late Frederick S. Lillich of Wilshire township.

Adam Gilliland has been appointed administrator of the late Lucy Gilliland of Pleasant township.

Paul Friedly has been appointed administrator of the estate of the late Jacob A. Friedly of Tully township.

Nora Kelly has filed suit for divorce from Melvin Kelly. Her petition avers the defendant has been guilty of gross neglect of duty. The parties are residents of Wilshire.

Two Men, Accused of Robbery, Held to Answer to the Grand Jury
Two strangers, taken into custody under the names of George Gallagher of Escanabe [sp?], Michigan, aged ?? years and George Hepner of Ypsilanti, Michigan, aged 27 years, were arraigned before Mayor F. P. Krohler Wednesday afternoon for alleged burglarizing the Strand Theatre on the night of June 30. Hepner entered a plea of guilty and Gallager waived examination. Both were held to answer to the grand jury in the Court of Common Pleas. In default of bond, in the sum of $1,000 each, they were committed to the county jail. The story related by the officers in connection with the case is that following the burglarizing of the Strand Theatre, where entrance was gained by the way of a window and a revolver and a hand flashlight stolen last Saturday night and also, after the burglarizing of the office of Spayd Brothers on Center street, the office of the Van Wert City Coal & Supply Company on North Market street and the forcing of entrance into a Cincinnati Northern passenger coach, and also, after robberies at Haviland on Sunday night, two strangers were observed on a Cincinnati Northern freight train at Paulding. That Sheriff Betts of Paulding communicated with the officers at Bryan and upon arrival of the train in that city, Gallager and Hepner were taken into custody. That a revolver, flashlight, steel panels, hammer and pipe wrench were found on their persons. The accused were given into custody of Sheriff Betts and removed from Bryan to Paulding. Mr. Dasher identified the flashlight and revolver as property stolen from the Strand theatre and Captain [illegible] identified the hammer which is painted red, with saw-off handle as the property of the Cincinnati Northern. The accused were brought to Van Wert by Chief W. {?} Jackson and Roy Shaffer, the affidavit for arrest being sworn to by Mr. Shaffer.

Anna R. Clark has filed suit in partition against Thomas Stant and others. The action affects real estate in Delphos of the estate of the late Frances Stant.

The Commercial Bank of Delphos on a cross petition in the case of the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. against G. P. Kohn and others has been awarded judgment against the defendant for $3, 153.80 on a claim based on a note.

Fred Satler has been awarded custody of his daughter, Maxine, a minor, in an order issued upon his petition.

William Lowen of Convoy entered a plea of guilty to a charge of driving an automobile with a State license issued to the owner of another car. Squire W. J. Semple assessed a fine of $25.00 and costs. Lowen was arrested by Deputy Sheriff Harry Martin while traveling over West Lincoln Highway.

Fred Satler has been awarded custody of his daughter, Maxine, a minor, in an order issued upon his petition.
The will of the late William Joseph Thomas of Van Wert has been admitted to probate. His estate was bequeathed to friends. Mrs. Clara S. Daring has been appointed executrix.

Oscar Fisher whose home is South of Van Wert, aged 22 years, entered a plea of guilty to a charge of issuing two forged checks. Squire W. S. Giffin held him to answer to the grand jury in the Court of Common Pleas under bond of $300. The story related in court is to the effect that Fisher in a statement to F. Roy Shaffer of the Mercantile Protective Agency and Deputy Sheriff Harry Martin, acknowledge that he signed the name of Albert Lybarger to two checks, each for $25.00 that were cashed at the store of the J.C. Penney Co. and the Combs Shoe Store.

George Moran who claimed to be a resident of Cincinnati was taken into custody early this morning by F. Roy Shaffer of the Mercantile Protective Agency. He was arraigned before Mayor F. P. Krieder on a charge of being in a state of intoxication. He was released and ordered to leave town.

Henry Sites and John Mathews, arrested Sunday morning on a charge of being in a state of intoxication, both entered pleas of guilty. Sites was fined $10.00 and costs and Mathews was fined $5.00 and costs. They were taken into custody by Sergeant John O. Miller.

Viola King has been appointed guardian of Gus King.
