Trumbull County Look-ups

The volunteers listed below have volunteered to provide look-ups in specific Trumbull County resources listed after each name. The purpose is to provide information on a name or two from a particular source. The volunteers cannot provide extensive research and cannot violate copyright laws by copying or transcribing significant portions of items that are not in the public domain.

If you would like to volunteer, please email me at:

  • When requesting a lookup, please try to limit yourself to one name per request.
  • Please put Trumbull County Lookup in the subject line of your request so that your message is not overlooked or accidently deleted.
  • In the first line of the message please put the name of the book in which you are requesting the lookup.

I have recently uploaded to my personal web page the first draft of a database containing Civil War soldiers of Trumbull County

This list will grow and change as I have time to verify other names that I have researched as well as remove names when I can find no record of service. I am in the process of writing a book about Trumbull County in the Civil War and do voluntary war related research - specializing in Ohio soldiers.

Bill Dillon

I am in possession of a 95-page book titled "The Gustavus Story 1800-1965" which was compiled by Mary Case Hoskins.

It is the third of a proposed series of Trumbull county townships and was published by The Trumbull County Historical Society of Warren, OH. The booklet was dated 1965. The index lists sections such as: post offices, farming, women's clubs, cemeteries, schools, churches, and many many other subjects. Alumni from the local high school from 1899 to 1965 are listed by graduation year. I'll be glad to do "lookups" for anyone.

I would be slow getting back to people as I work 12 hour shifts but would still be happy to look.

I have William's 1882 History of Trumbull & Mahoning Co with name index; Marriages in Trumbull Co 1800-1900; Trumbull Co Ohio Birth Records 1867-1908; I also have Trumbull Co Ohio Death Record Index 1867-1908; & misc cemetary & historical info gleaned during my own searches as I have 7 generations of Trumbull ancestors.

Tami Emerson

I have The Burch Directory for Warren, Newton Falls, and Niles 1957. I am willing to do look ups if anyone wishes. I also have 1961 Echos yearbook for Warren G. Harding High School.
