Need to know the parents of Sarah (Sally) BRYAN who md Charles MILLER
in Portage CO in 1816. They were neighbors in Hudson TWP. Charles
MILLER was the son of Moses MILLER and Sarah HOLCOMB. They came to
Portage CO from Simsbury or Litchfield, Conn. John BRYAN lived just
a few houses away from the Miller's. Think he is Sarah BRYAN'S
parent. Need to know if he was and if so, who his wife was. Their
son, Charles MILLER md in Portage CO in 1853 Christiana REESE. Anyone
with info on any of these families I would love to hear from and I would
share any info I have.

I am searching for information about the Barbers of Twinsburg. I have
seen the History of Twinsburg. The BARBER family is descended from Russell
Barber of VT, descended from Thomas BARBER Of CT. Stephen, B 1812 AND George,
B 1817 were sons of Russell. But there were also Horace, b 1829, and Lewis
Barber, who were supposed to be cousins of the others. Does anyone know more
about these Barbers?

I've recently found that I am a descendant of Nathan GILLETT (1755-1835)
and Lucy Harrison Gillett (1762-1825) who are buried in the cemetery in Tallmadge
next to the library. Their daughter Charlotte Gillett - whose deatrh date
was c. 1846 - married Elijah MASON of Middlebury - editor in 1825-1827 of
the "Portage Journal" Their son Milton Arthur Mason (1846-1924) was a Civil
War vet - wounded at Chickamauga - enlisted from Twinsburg, he is the Arthur
Mason on the monument. Peter Holman of Twinsburg and I are trying to see
if the Nathan G(illett?) Mason, same age - 18 - different company was his
Twin brother. Milton's grandson Henry Werts Mason, born in Akron in 1895
was my maternal grandfather. After moving to Berea from NC in 1994 I started
using WRHS Library to track the Masons which lead to Gilletts - they were
from CT - descended from Nathan Gillett who came over on the "Mary and John"
in 1630. I've written to the DAR and SAR in Simsbury CT to tell them their
lost Rev War Gillett (Fife Major, 6 Conn Regt) has been found.
