Ellen J[eanette]., the 13-months-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Arledge, passed away Monday evening at six oգlock at the home her parents on Williamsport Rd. She had been sick with the measles for ten days, but her condition was not considered serious, and her death comes as a great shock to her parents, a brother, and two sisters. The funeral will be held on Thursday, but the arrangements have not yet been completed.

Everett Arledge, three month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Emmanuel Arledge, of S. Mulberry St. died at 11 am on Saturday of a complication of diseases. He is survived by his parents, four brothers, and four sisters. The funeral will be held Sunday morning at 8:30 from the residence, Rev. Cherrington officiating. Burial at Crouseճ Chapel.

George D. Arledge, 83, of 454 N. High St., died Tuesday at 1:30 pm at the Ross County Medical Center Hospital after an extended illness. His funeral will Friday at 1 pm at the Ware Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery in Pickaway County. Calling hours at the funeral home are after 5 pm Thursday. He was born Dec. 4, 1896, in Pickaway County to Daniel and Belle Thompson Arledge. He was married on Jan. 3, 1917, to the former Oda O. Shasteen, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. C.L. (Viola) Bosworth of Chillicothe and Mrs. Paul (Blanche) Bliss of Cattail Road; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He retired in 1941 as a salesman for the Borden Co. and was a 50-year member of the Modern Woodmen.

Guy Arledge, Green Township farmer, passed away at his home on Sunday, after an illness of five weeks due to Typhoid Fever. He was born in Green Township, Ross County, on Oct. 26, 1873, the son of William H. and Elizabeth Huffman Arledge, and was a member of the Methodist Church. His wife, formerly, Miss Anna Ginther, one son, Richard of Chillicothe, four daughters Mrs. Nettie Dean of Chillicothe, Mrs. Edith Delong of Hallsville, Mrs. Tillie Haldren of Chillicothe, and Miss Jessie at home; four grandchildren; five brothers, Hershel, George, Luther, William, and Edward, all of Kinnikinnick; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Stevenson and Mrs. Ella Stout, of Chillicothe; and his father William Arledge, of Kinnikinnick, survive. Funeral services will be held at two pm Wednesday at the residence, Rev. Clifford officiating, and interment will be at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Henry W. Arledge, retired farmer, Green Township, passed away at this home Friday Morning at 8:45 after an illness of six weeks; due to the infirmities of old age. Mr. Arledge was born in Adelphi Oct. 12, 1832, the son of Isaac and Polly Morrison Arledge. He was united in marriage with Elizabeth Hoffman, with whom, with three children preceded him to the grave. The following children survive, Hershel, Fannie, Mrs. Catherine Stevenson, of Kinnikinnick, Manuel, Chillicothe, William, Athens, Luther, Lima, George, Yellowbud, and Mrs. George Stout, of Green Township. He was member of the Methodist Church, and funeral services will be held at Crouseճ Chapel Sunday afternoon at 2:30 and the body will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Josephine Gwendolyn Arledge, 52, of 401 N. High St., died at 6:45 A.M. in Chillicothe Hospital after a brief illness. Born Jan. 30, 1912, in Chillicothe to James and Mayme Litterst Egan, she married Cecil Arledge Feb 2, 1937. He survives. Also surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Gwen Whitten and Mrs. Robert Cozad; and two nephews, Michael and Phillip Egan of Chillicothe. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles. Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter's Church Saturday. Burial will be in St. Margarets Cemetery.

Mrs. Oda O. Arledge, 91, of North High St., died 10:16 a.m. May 29,1990, in Medical Center Hospital following an extended illness. She was born December 14, 1898, in Ross county to Robert and Nancy Bell Murphy Shasteen. On Janurary 3, 1917, she married George D. Arledge, who died November 11, 1980. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Jack (Viola) Bosworth and Mrs. Paul (Blanche) Bliss, both of Chillicothe; six grandchildren, 12 great-grand children, a great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Arledge has operated a home laundry for many years and lived in Ross county her entire life. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Ware Funeral Home, with Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery, Pickaway County. Friends may call at Ware's from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
