DAISY SNYDER

 

Mrs. Daisy A. (Hamilton) Snyder, 72, of 388 East Second Street, died at 3 p.m. Sunday [09 Feb 1958] at Chillicothe Hospital after a long illness.

She was born Jan 9, 1886, in Ross County, a daughter of John W. and Susannah "Minnie" (Vest ) Hamilton. On Jan 29, 1912, she married Martin L. Snyder,who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs, Ruth Kaltenbach and Mrs. Mildred L. Davis, both of Chillicothe; a son, Robert J. May of Chillicothe also survives,

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Kidney of Chillicothe and Mrs. Mary Brown of Columbus, and a brother, Grover Hamilton of Chillicothe. She is survived by 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A son preceded her in death.

Mrs. Snyder was member of the Church of God.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Root-Heiby Memorial Home with the Rev. Herman Hollis officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the memorial home after noon Tuesday. The Degree of Pocahontas will conduct a service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Martin Luther Snyder (22 Feb 1886/Pike Co-18 Jul 1967/Chillicothe, Ross Co OH; s/o Frederick Snyder/Ida Goff) and wife Daisy Anna (Hamilton) Snyder.

Martin retired in 1956 from the beater room at the Chillicothe Paper Company after 25 years of service.
