The public schools of Madison and Mifflin Townships held their annual commencement and picnic at Sherman-Heineman park June 5.  About 2,000 people were present.  The Pavonia band of 15 pieces furnished the music.  The rain interfered to some extent with the repast, but the literary program was carried out in full. 

The graduates were:

The district representatives were Bertha Carl, Alice Kohler, Nellie Gribling, Grace Roberts, Leila Finney, Estella Barr, Charles McBride, Tommy Dickerson, Riley Dillon, Grace Calhoun, Clara Hunt and Nettie Condon.
