note 1 = The buildings in the right foreground (L to R) are Beal's General Store, Del Scott's barber shop, and Dory Leedy's jewelry store.  The big fire started in Beal's store and quickly destroyed all three.  A vacant lot next to the jewelry store and the brick building stopped the northward spread of the fire.  (as noted on the back of the photograph)
