| This is a picture of the Emerson Bemiller farm after the flood water had gone down. You can see where Emerson used an ax to rip out the boards in the attic, and see the pole bridge the family used to cross over the river to the hill on the other side. The location of this photo is at Bunker Hill Road and Butler Newville road. If it were today, Bunker Hill Road would run just on the other side of the barn at the left of the photo, and Butler Newville road would run behind the house. The photo was taken from the area that is now Wildwood Springs road looking across the river. |
