James came from Greece. (pictured on left) He, as well as others, changed his name. He is listed in the Mansfield directory in 1910. He lived with several other Greeks, including a man by the name of Sperry (Spiro) Kaler. Mr. Kaler owned and operated a confectionery (candy) story on North Main street.
