WILLIAM ROBINSON, for nearly seventy years a resident of this county, and for twenty-five years a reader of THE HERALD, departed this life on the 30th. ult., at his late residence in Jefferson Twp.  He was born in Westmoreland Co., Pa., October 7th., 1807.  When the deceased was two years old his father moved to Mercer County, Pa.  The family came to the Larres farm near Bellville, this county, in 1814, cutting a wagon road from Newville up the Clear Fork creek.  He married Maria Lafferty, December 17th., 1835.  They had but one child, Calvin Robinson.  He was reared under Christian influences and was for many years a member of the United Presbyterian church.  The universal feeling is, he was a reliable man and will be missed.  He rests from his labors and his works will follow him.
