James Lindsey died today at his home in Meadville, Pa.  His wife was formerly Maria Hedges, daughter of the late Charles Hedges of this city.  The deceased will be buried at Pittsburg, Pa.

In the paper dated 27 July 1895 (Vol. LXXVIII, No. 11), the following additional information was provided ...

Mr. Henry C. Hedges returned late Saturday night from Pittsburg, Pa., whither he went from Meadville, Pa., with Mrs. Anna Maria Lindsey, to bury her husband, James C. Lindsay, Mrs. Lindsay was formerly Miss Hedges, the only child of the late Charles Hedges, the brother of Henry C. and Major J.S. Hedges.  Mr. Lindsay was the leading hardware merchant of Pittsburg, but was associated with gentleman who will perpetuate the business for themselves and the benefit of his widow.  Mr. Hedges reports the heated term at Pittsburg to be very severe.
