Martha E. Pool Weaver, 85, former Weller Twp., resident and matron of the Richland County Home, died Saturday morning in Lexington Court Nursing Care Center, Lexington, after a brief illness.

Born April 16, 1899, in Mansfield, Mrs. Weaver lived in this area all her life.  She retired in 1961 after 14 years of service to the county home where her huband, the late Harry E. was superintendent.  She was a member of the Franklin United Methodist Church, the Missionary Society of the church and Franklin Arts Club.

Surviving are a son, Robert E. of Mansfield; two daughters, Mrs. William (Maxine) Estep and Mrs. Robert (Mary Elizabeth) Wilson, both of Mansfield; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Finefrock Funeral Home by the Rev. Kevin E. Slyh, pastor of Park Avenue Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery.
