Mrs. Alta Smith Sheely, 80, of 115 Wood St., died at General Hospital last night after a long illness.

Mrs. Sheely was born in Mansfield Feb. 1, 1881 and lived here all her life. She was a member of the First Congregational Church and the Women's Guild; also the Golden Age Club. Her parents came here 90 years ago from Strealton, Rutland, England.

Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Jones Memorial, with her pastor, Rev. James G. Meade officiating. Burial will be in the Mansfield Cemetery mausoleum.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to
9 p.m.

Note: Alta SMITH SHEELY was the sister of Helen SMITH BURNS and d/o Henry
[Harry] SMITH and Martha DEATON.
