BELLVILLE -- Mrs. Lucinda Geddes, aged 79 years, died on Wednesday afternoon last, at her residence on the corner of Reynolds and Eleventh Streets.  The deceased was an old resident of Goshen and a very estimable lady.  Death was caused by paralysis.  Lucinda Heath Geddes was born near Syracuse, N.Y., Aug. 3, 1815, and was one of a family of eight children, who removed with their parents to Bellville, Ohio, a few years later.  The deceased was married to John Geddes Feb. 6, 1833, and came to Elkhart in the fall of 1853, where she remained until 1857, when the family removed to Goshen, which place the deceased continued to make her home until death claimed her on Wednesday last.  Mrs. Geddes was the mother of four children, two of whom, Wm. E. and R.B., survive her.  The funeral took place on Friday afternoon from the late home of the deceased and was attended by a large concourse of relatives and sympathizing friends, Rev. S.M. The deceased lady was an aunt of Libbie and Rosa White, and will be remembered by our older citizens.
