William J. Oberlin of Massillon committed suicide at his office in that city by shooting himself through the heart.  He was found by his son Tuesday morning, who had come to look for him, being alarmed by his absence from home the night before.  Financial difficulties, it is reported, prompted the deed.

The deceased was well known in this city, having many friends here.  He was a cousin of W.K. Oberlin, I.J. Oberlin and Mrs. W.E. Ford of this city and had other relatives near here.
