DEATH BRINGS CLOSE TO RUTH KELSO'S LIFE

Popular Bellville Young Lady Expires Suddenly -- Was Afflicted For Many Years

Many were surprised and pained Monday upon learning of the death early that morning of Miss Ruth Kelso.  Apparently as well as ever, when she retired Sunday night, she aroused her mother, saying her throat was filling up.  She died in a short while.

Ruth Bell Kelso, who was aged 26, was born in Jefferson township on September 15, 1893.  For almost 20 years she suffered much from the the effects of scarlet fever and measles.  Her life was a beautiful one.  She bore her sufferings patiently and was always submissive to the will of the Master.  She was talented in many ways -- in household duties, sewing, music, on the organ and on stringed instruments;  also in her books.  Had she had health, she would have made her mark in life.  She united with the Presbyterian church in Bellville during the pastorate of Rev. Mr. Bone about 13 years ago, and was faithful until death removed her.  She leaves her mother, Mrs. Mary Kelso;  and two brothers, Harry of Jefferson township, and Wilbur, of Cincinnati.

The funeral services were conducted at the residence Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Mr. Shedd of Lexington.
