STRANGE DISAPPEARANCE OF A YOUNG LADY FROM ALABAMA, WHILE VISITING IN THIS CITY

One week ago today Miss Sanfrancisco Craig arrived in this city from Mobile, Alabama, for the purpose of paying an extended visit to the family of her uncle, James Craig, who resides at No. 126 South Main Street.  Miss Craig also had relatives living in Johns Addition and at Lucas.  Last Friday morning the young lady left the home of her uncle ostensibly to pay a visit to her relatives at Lucas.  All was supposed to be well until yesterday afternoon, when Mr. Craig's brother came to this city from Lucas.  Inquiry was made as to how Miss Craig was getting along, when to their consternation they were informed that she had never been at that place.  A hurried trip was made to Johns Addition, but the folks there had not seen her either.

Miss Craig is 17 years old, light complexioned and fairly good looking.  She was born at San Francisco, where her father died, and the mother and child afterwards moved to Mobile, Ala.  On her arrival the young lady said that she had lost the check for her trunk and that the trunk was held at the P.F. depot.  The SHIELD man went to the baggage room this afternoon and found that the trunk was still there.  The officers will probably institute a systematic search this afternoon.
