24 January 1914, Vol. 61, No. 10

The marriage of Roy O. McFarland of Shelby, and Miss Virginia Dick of Plymouth, occurred Wednesday at 1:30 o'clock at Mansfield, at the parsonage of the First Lutheran church, Rev. S.P. Long being the officiating clergyman.  The young people are well and favorably known in these parts and have the best wishes of their friends.  They will make Shelby their home. 

28 February 1914, Vol. 61, No. 15

A marriage license was issued in the Richland County Probate Court Saturday, to John L. Payne and Miss Amy C. Pettit, well known young people of Plymouth Twp., Rev. Weeks being designated as the officiating clergyman.

18 April 1914, Vol. 61, No. 22

The marriage of Miss Frances DeBray of this city and Oliver B. Miller, of Plymouth, was solemnized Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock before the altar of the First Lutheran Church, with the Rev. S.P. Long officiating.  They were attended by Miss Cronenwett and Charles Frank.  Mr. & Mrs. Miller will live in Plymouth.  -- as re-printed from the Mansfield News.

25 April 1914, Vol. 61, No. 23

The marriage of Mrs. Ida B. Latimer of Shiloh, and Alvin D. Buzzard of Adario, took place Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the parsonage of the First Christian church at Mansfield, with the Rev. Charles R. Oakley officiating.  Mr. and Mrs. Buzzard will live on a farm in Adario.

02 May 1914, Vol. 61, No. 24

Mr. Carl C. Pitcher, son of Mr. & Mrs. C.C. Pitcher, and Miss Ruth Wheeler, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. J.A. Wheeler, were united in marriage Wednesday evening, April 22, 1914, at the home of the bride's parents by Rev. J.B. Funnel, of the Presbyterian Church.  Mr. & Mrs. Pitcher left Wednesday night for Chicago, Ill., where they will visit with friends and relatives.  Only the immediate relatives were present at the wedding.  -- as re-printed from the Chicago Junction Telegraph.

That business and matrimony can be made to blend was demonstrated last Wednesday when Fred B. Clark, the genial senior member of the firm of Clark Bros., and Miss Bernice Hough, of New Haven [Huron Co.], betook themselves to Chicago Junction, and were married by the Rev. L.R. Akers.  After the ceremony the happy couple took a short wedding trip to Cleveland.  They are at home to their many friends in their residence on West Broadway, which Mr. Clark had already furnished.  May the goddess of fortune smile on them.

Invitations are out announcing the marriage of Miss Lois Marie Miller, daughter of Dr. & Mrs. A.C. Miller, of Louisville, Ky., to the Rev. Albert C. Kansinger, July 2, at the English Lutheran Church.  Her many friends here join with us in wishing the happy couple all the blessings that life can bestow.

11 July 1914, Vol. 61, No. 34

A pretty wedding occurred on Wednesday afternoon of last week when Benjamin R. Wheeler, of Chicago Junction, and Mrs. Ida J. Fetter, of Shelby, were united in marriage at their newly furnished home on South Myrtle Avenue.  The ceremony was performed by Rev. J.B. Funnell, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, in the presence of a few friends and relatives of the contracting parties.  -- as re-printed from the Chicago Junction Telegraph.

18 July 1914, Vol. 61, No. 35

A marriage license was issued today to Bert Mullen, of Chicago Junction, and Miss Ethel Stevens, of Plymouth.  The marriage was quietly solemnized in the study of the First Lutheran Church at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon, the Rev. S.P. Long, officiating.  Mr. and Mrs. Mullen will live in Chicago Junction, where the groom is employed.  -- are re-printed from the Mansfield News.

A marriage license was issued Saturday morning at the probate judge's office at Mansfield to Dorsey C. Drummond and Miss Ida Guynup, both of Shelby.  Rev. A. Snider, pastor of the United Brethren Church is names as the officiating clergyman.  Miss Guynup was a resident of Plymouth for several years and a pupil of Plymouth Public Schools and will be readily remembered by many.

01 August 1914, Vol. 61, No. 37

Selby B. Braden and Miss Maude Mosier, both of Shiloh, were united in marriage Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First M.E. Church at Mansfield by the Rev. Henry Chandler, the pastor.  The couple were unattended.  Both the bride and groom are well known in this community and their many friends extend heartiest congratulations.  Immediately after the ceremony, Mr. & Mrs. Braden left for Shiloh and will go to housekeeping on a farm near that village.

22 August 1914, Vol. 61, No. 40

The marriage of Lester J. Vanosdale, of near Shelby, and Miss Pheodosia Payne, of Plymouth, occurred at Mansfield Monday morning at 11 o'clock, in the study of Rev. S.P. Long.  After the ceremony was performed by Rev. Long, the couple returned to Shelby, and they will go to housekeeping on a farm near that city.  Both are well known here and their many friends extend heartiest congratulations.

19 September 1914, Vol. 61, No. 44

The wedding of Stephen T. Dalton of Shelby and Miss Mary Kathryne Weck, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John Weck, Trux Street, this city, took place Tuesday morning at 7 o'clock in the Catholic church at Chicago Junction, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. Father Cohen, pastor of the church, only the immediate relatives of the contracting parties witnessing the ceremony which united the couple for life.  The couple were attended by Miss Anna Dalton of Shelby, sister of the groom, and Mr. Frank Weck, cousin of the bride.

Harry B. Kuhn and Mrs. Laura B. Kuhn, both of Shelby, have decided to again sail their bark upon the matrimonial sea.  They were married once before.  Saturday they appeared for a marriage license and named the Rev. S.P. Long to perform the ceremony.

26 September 1914, Vol. 61, No. 45

David B. Webber and Miss Bertha Elenore Lofland quietly left Plymouth Tuesday morning, Mansfield and the Probate Court office being their objective points, where after arming themselves with the necessary license they betook themselves to the residence of Dr. S.P. Long, who pronounced the words which united the two for life.  After the wedding vows had been solemnized the happy young couple left for Cleveland and other points to enjoy their honeymoon.  The groom is the youngest son of Fred Webber, a young man of exemplary habits and good qualifications.  The bride is the only child and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cash Lofland, a young lady of a lovable disposition and fine attainments.  Both were born and reared in Plymouth and are graduates of our public schools and have a wide circle of friends who, together with the Advertiser, extends hearty congratulations, wishing for them a life of unalloyed happiness and prosperity.

C. Dale Horner, well known violinist of Shelby, and who has a class here, was united in marriage to Miss Mary DeYarmon of Mansfield, in the latter city last week.

24 October 1914, Vol. 61, No. 49

A pretty wedding occurred at an early hour Sunday morning at the home of Mrs. A.A. Carpenter, when her daughter, Miss Maude, was united in marriage to John H. Kutscher, by the Rev. Chas. H. Mott.  <details of this wedding omitted> The bride is a highly esteemed young lady of this community.  The groom is a well principled, ambitious young man.  They will make their home at Chillicothe, Ohio, where the groom will resume his duties as a commercial teacher in the High School.

19 December 1914, Vol. 62, No. 5

The marriage of J.P. Hoffstetter and Mrs. Julia Sherman, both of East Main Street, occurred this morning at 11 o'clock at the parsonage of the First Congregational church at Mansfield, with the Rev. Mr. Mattison, pastor of the church officiating, says the Shelby Globe of the 10th. inst.  The couple were attended by Miss Gretchen Steinbrueck, granddaughter of the bride.  The parties left Shelby this morning on the 10 o'clock car for the county seat and went directly to the court house where a license was issued them by the marriage license clerk.  They then proceeded to the parsonage of the First Congregational church on Park Avenue West where the knot was tied.
