ENZOR-FIEDLER

One of the prettiest weddings of the season occurred Wednesday morning when Miss May Leslie Fiedler, oldest daughter of John L. Fiedler, was united in marriage to Freeman K. Enzor of Toledo.  The wedding ceremony took place at the Grace church at 8:30 o’clock.  About 175 invitations had been issued.

The church was beautifully decorated with white and green and the double ring ceremony was used, the Rev. S. E. Thompson, rector, officiating.  The bridal party was preceded to the altar by the Grace church vested boys choir.  The bride had but one attendant, her sister, Miss Edna McClellan Fiedler, and the groom’s best man was Dr. Warren Robison, of Toledo.  The ushers were Edward Refer, of Toledo, and Walker Christy of Wooster.

The bride entered the room on the arm of her father, John L. Fiedler.  The bride wore a dress of marquisette over mescaline and trimmed with princess lace with white lace bonnet and French plumes and she carried a shower  bouquet of lilies of the valley.  The bride’s maid, Miss Edna M. Fiedler, was attired in a dress of oriental with lace bonnet and she carried a basket of Japanese lilies.  It was the first wedding that has occurred in the new Episcopal church.

At the conclusion of the marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Enzor adjourned to the home of the bride, No. 33 Willow street, where a wedding breakfast was served to the bridal party and 75 guests.

There were eight young people at the bridal table which was decorated with the same color scheme of white and green.  In the center of the large table was a miniature lake with two white swans and the lake was banked with ferns.  The happy couple left later in the day for a three week wedding trip to Cleveland, Buffalo and Canada.

The groom, Freeman K. Enzor, travels for The Bostwick-Braun Hardware company and has been making his headquarters in Toledo.  The bride is one of Mansfield’s young ladies having been educated in the public schools here and Wittenberg college  Upon the return of Mr. and Mrs. Enzor they will go to Akron to reside as Mr. Enzor will hereafter make that city his headquarters.  Their home is already prepared and furnished for them.

The bride was the recipient of a large number of beautiful presents including solid silverware, cut glass, articles of furniture, rugs, pictures, table linen and in fact most everything appropriate for a useful and substantial gift on such an occasion, indicating a large circle of friends.

The groom’s gift to his bride was a beautiful cluster diamond ring.

Among the guests from out of town were the following:  Mrs. Hilda Enzor, Auburn, Ind.;  Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Shore and the Misses Lois and Trevor Shore, Kendallville, Ind.;  Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Enzor and Miss Helen Enzor, Utica;  Miss Zetta Enzor, Dr. Wayne Robison, Edward Refer, Dr. and Mrs. William Reese, Toledo;  Mrs. Joseph Schwartz, Chicago, Ill.;  Miss Martha Lowrey, Springfield;  Walker Christy, Wooster;  Albert Jones, Newark;  Miss Carrie Marvin, Shelby;  Miss Dolly McClellan, New London;  Miss Mabel Braeher, Galion;  Miss Mary Hubble, Columbus.  [Mansfield News:  26 July 1911, p. 7]
