FOR SALE -- A house and lot, beautifully located, and in the best neighborhood of the town.  Situated on West Street, a little north of the Presbyterian Church, and directly opposite O.B. Rummel's new mansion.  Is a new house, just finished this Spring, with a view of convenience and economy in labor, and has all the modern improvements.  Will sell on the following terms:  Half down and balance on time with good security.  For further particulars inquire of FRANK RIDENOUR.

Capt. D.W. WILSON returned from Washington last Saturday, Congress having adjourned.

ANNA E. AUNGST finished a quilt which had 446 pieced blocks, and 16 pieces in each block, which makes 7,136 pieces in all of the pieced blocks, and each pieced block is 2¼ inches square.

Mr. JOSEPH BAUGHMAN and wife have been in Ohio visiting the past three months, and stopped in Bellville Tuesday and Wednesday with their daughter, Mrs. S.B. FAUS.  Started for Indiana yesterday morning to visit a daughter, and from there they go to their home in Illinois.  They are accompanied on their return trip by Miss HETTIE DERR, of Wadsworth, Ohio.

S.B. JACKSON has removed from Cleveland, O., to Columbus, where he holds the position of Passenger Agent of the C.C.C.& I. and the L.S. & M.S. Railways.

Our young friend, HOMER REISINGER, goes to Bellville, Ohio, next Monday, where he will open a dentist's shop.  Homer is a good workman, and we wish him abundant success.  -- Galion Review.

Mr. JAMES LEFEVER and family, of Portsmouth, Ohio, who have been visiting in this place for several weeks, left for home last Monday.

Miss MARY WALKER has been quite sick.

On last Monday, Mr. LESTER TRAXLER met with a bad accident.  By some means he got against his circular saw which was in motion at the time.  His right arm was cut badly, also the fore finger which had to be amputated.

Mrs. W.R. MARSHALL and two children, of Hutchinson, Kan., are visiting in this place.

Thursday, Aug. 24th., 1876, is the day that the first brick was laid on the first brick block for business in Bellville.

W.S. HARRINGTON is erecting a mill and presses of the most m--- style, which will be ready for opening next week.  It is located at his foundry and will be run by steam.
