I've mailed several requests, but maybe it's been lost. I am
seeking information on John and Elizabeth Klein of Randolph. They
immigrated to Randolph from Germany in 1832 with their son Adam (b.
1/12/1832 in GER). John died in 1888 and Elizabeth in 1841. The
family were farmers. I would like to find information on other
children of John and Elizabeth Klein. I believe my great
grandmother, Anna Mary Klein Neff (b. 1836 in Randolph, d. 1907 in
Akron) was the daughter of John and Elizabeth and sister to Adam.
The homestead of Adam and his son's (and perhaps began as John and
Eliz. homestead also) was on Ranfield Rd. Any written information or
copies ofphotos would be appreciated.

I am trying to locate information on my ggg grandfather, Samuel
Jewett, who was married to Sophia Lance (or Lanz) about 1843 in
Perth County (formerly Brock District) Ontario. They had one
daughter, Cynthia, born Nov. 26, 1844 in Akron, OH, I believe (now
called Middlebutry [Summit County]—it’s possible she was born in
Morgan Cty, OH) . Samuel is purported to have died on the Great
Lakes (between 1843-1846). Sophia and Cynthia went to Kirtland, OH
and then west with the Latter-day Saints. I have no records on
Samuel Jewett.

Elizabeth YATES. They came to the USA in 1853 and lived in Freedom,
Portage Co., OH for about 12 years(till about 1865). They came over
with the George WILLITS family, George, Hannah and Mary WILLITS. I
believe that Hannah WILLITS was a sister to Elizabeth (YATES) DAVIS.
I would like to correspond with any descendents of the WILLITS
family. The WILLITS were last living in Beaver Falls, PA, however
may have lived in Freedom as well. I may be contacted at

I am searching for some connection to the family of an Edward
Mather Stannnard 1820 or 1821-1862 (died in Lawrence Co., Indiana),
whose son has recorded in an old letter that his father was born in
Portage Co. Does anyone know of any Stannards in cemetery, birth,
census, obit, or legal records for Portage Co. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. I have no parental Christian names, nor a
mother's maiden name. The family was in the county presumably in
1820, or 1830.
