Rev. Purl Ware
The Rev. Purl Ware, 81, of 108 Caudill Street, died at 7:30 a.m. Monday at the Mt. Logan Sanatorium, Chillicothe. He had been in failing health for several years.
He was a retired farmer and minister. Born on September 25, 1885 in Pike County, he was the son of Timothy and Anna Dinsmore Ware. On February 9, 1907, he was married to Katie Hays who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Anna Pfeifer, Waverly, Route 2; Mrs. Dorothey Walters, Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Kathry Duncan , Geneva, two sons, Robert, Springfield and Charles (Bill), Washington C. H.; 22 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son and a daughter.
The Rev. Theodore Mendenhall and the Rev. Robert L. Sayre will officiate at the funeral which will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Waverly Church of Christ in Christian Union. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the A. H. Boyer Funeral Home after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
