John Myron Vulgamore
Pike County native, John Myron Vulgamore, 71, of 6346 SR 220, Waverly, died 4:45 p. m. August 5, 1988 at the Pleasant Hill Convalescent Center, Piketon.
He had retired as manager of Pike Water Inc. in 1983. He was also a member of the Pleasant Hill Community Church.
Born February 16, 1917, he was the son of the late John and Myrtle (Farmer) Vulgamore. Besides his parents, he was preceded by three brothers, Leo, Lawrence and Floyd.
On September 25, 1939, he married Janice Kneisley, who survives.
He is also survived by a son, the Rev. Paul Vulgamore of Piketon; two brothers, Richard and Kenneth, both of Waverly; three sisters, Mrs. Harry (Louise) Burkitt of London, Ohio, and Helen Gopnki of Twinsburg, Ohio, and Mrs. Sidney (Maxine) Fisher of Cape Coral, Florida; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p. m. at the Pleasant Hill Community Church with the reverends Albert Reed and Mason Dyke officiating. Interment was made in the Floral Hills Memory Garden, Chillicothe.
Arrangements were made under the direction of the Boyer Funeral Home, Waverly.
