ILLNESS FATAL FOR MRS. C.W.HELMAN
-Wife of Waverly Barber and florist summoned at 6:30 p m , Tuesday Evening.

Mrs. Lillie F (Givens) Helman, 78, wife of Charles W. Helman died at 6:10 pm Tuesday at the residence, 400 South Lock Street, Waverly, following a three months illness.

Mrs. Helman was born at Givens in Pike Couinty on July 27, 1869, the daughter of Henry C. and Comfort Butcher Givens.

The deceased was widely known throughout Southern Ohio as a florist, she and her husband had operated the Helman Flower Gardens here for the past 18 years. The husband also operates Helman's Barber Shop in this city.

They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on March 7th, 1947.

A member of the Waverly Methodist Church, Mrs. Helman was also connected with the Ladies' Aid Society and W. S. C. S.

Surviving are the husband, Charles W. Helman; two sons, Harry E. Helman of Columbus and Holbart C. Helman of Waverly, and a daughter, Mrs. Leona Moore, of this city; one brother, Grove C. Givens,
 of Chillicothe, and four grandchildren. A  daughter, Edna Mae, preceded her in death on March 16, 1918.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, at the Waverly Methodist Church with Rev. Earl R. Bull, the pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery here under the direction of A. H. Boyer, local funeral director.
The body will remain at the residence until noon Friday.
