Oscar Vallery
Funeral services were conducted in Urbana, Monday, for Oscar Vallery, 74, well known resident of Fayette County and a native of Pike County. Burial followed in the Bloomingburg Cemetery.
Mr. Vallery died suddenly while enroute to his home after visiting a physician in Columbus. He was riding in an automobile with his daughter, Mrs. C. B. Lovett, when stricken.
A well known harness horseman in Ohio, he owned, trained and drove some of the best harness horses of his day and drove a number of winners.
In addition to his daughter in Urbana, he is survived by his widow; one son, Robert of Washington Court House; three brothers, L. P. "Steve" and Charles of Waverly and Harry of near here; and two sisters, Mrs. Grace Lorbach of Cincinnati and Mrs. Hattie Pogee of Toledo, Ohio.
