John Wallace George
GEORGE, JOHN WALLACE, “passed away at his residence on August 3, 1987, in Columbus, Ohio.
Mr. George was born in Omega, Ohio on August 17, 1922 to Walter Lee and Vivian Alice (nee Claytor) George.
He is survived by his wife, Isabel George (nee Reid); daughters, Linda (Harry) Saunders; Jackie Ballou; Jennifer Meadows; sons, John (Helen) George and Jeff George, and several grandchildren.
Mr. George served in the Army Air Force, WW II, 708th Bomb Squad; 447 Bomb Group, as a mechanic, from 1942 to 1945. He was an instructor at North American Aviation, & Allen Aircraft.
Service is at Schrödinger’s Funeral Home, 11 am to 2 pm, Saturday; interment at Omega Cemetery.”
