Mrs. Emily D. Grooms
Mrs. Emily D. Grooms, 81, died at her home on Tuesday at l0:20 a.m. Infirmities of old
age caused her death.
She is survived by six sons: Chester, of Gallipolis: Perry, of Pebbles (the obit says Terry but we know it is Perry); Curtis of Leesburg; Elbert, of near Waverly; Edgar of Chillicothe; and Gideon of Waverly. (There were other children who had already died.)
(Emily was b. Oct l 1856 Highland Co, Ohio, d. Apr 26 1938 Pike Co, Ohio - married Thomas E Grooms on Nov 11, 1878.)
Funeral Services will be held Pike Co, Ohio from the Mount Zion Church of near Latham with the Rev. E. A. Keaton, of the Church of Christ in Christian Union of North High Street, Chillicothe,
officiating and burial will be in the adjoining cemetery under the direction of A. M.
Gregg Co., of Waverly.
