DEATH CLAIMS JOSEPH POSEY
Born in Pike County in 1851---Seven children Survive---
Joseph Baum Posey, 904 Madison Avenue, Chillicothe, died at his home with complications at two thirty Tuesday morning, following an illness of six months.
The deceased was born May 14th, 1851, in Pike County, the son of S. P. Posey and Mary Baum. he was later married to Barbara Dick who survives him, together with seven children: George S. Posey of LaFayette, Indiana; Anna J. McCandeish, of LaCrosse, Indiana; Mary C. Braman of Hamlet, Indiana; Clara B. Ralston, of Bucyrus; Ollie L. Lockard and Freddie S. Posey, of Chillicothe and Joseph N. Posey of Cabel, Ohio; also one step daughter, Mrs. D. C. Oyer, of Waverly; and 23 grand children and 7 great grand children . One brother, M. P. Posey, of Washington Court House, and four sisters: Mrs. Fred Hamm and Mrs. Thomas Corcoran, of Chillicothe; Mrs. F. Schiller, of Frankfort and Mrs. A. G. Bishop, of Casper, Wyoming.
The deceased belong to the U. B. Church, and the Odd Fellows organization. Funeral services were held on last Thursday afternoon at two p.m. from the U. B. Church with the Rev. L. H. Hampshire officiating, and burial was made in the Greenlawn Cemetery at Chillicothe
