FREDRICK H. MYERS
Fredrick H. Myers, 56, of Chillicothe, died 3:00 a.m. Sunday, July 29, 2007, at his residence following an extended illness.
A graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2007, in Omega Cemetery with Rev. Eric VanBuskirk officiating and where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Waverly American Legion Post 142 Honor Guard. Friends may call at the Ware Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Fred was born February 1, 1951, in Vinton County, to the late Paul W. and Bertha Mae Kearns Myers. On May 16, 2000, he married the former Kimberly Kaye Bauer who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Fred H. Jr. (Jamie) Myers, of Chillicothe; a brother, Paul W. (Sue) Myers, of LaMarque, TX; sisters, Shirley Roberts, of Mt. Sterling and Sharon (Robert) Seymour, of Londonderry; several nieces and nephews; an aunt, Helen Smart, of Frankfort; and his "nurses" Boston Terriors, "Be Be" and "Bullett".
Fred served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He retired in 2007 following 38 years of service, from the VA Medical Center where he had worked as a painter. Fredrick was a member of AMVETS Post 4, VFW Post 108, American Legion Post 62, F.O.E. Aerie 600 and the Masonic Lodge of Kingston.
