Mrs. Gladys M.  Knisley                

     Mrs. Gladys M. Knisley, 66, of 73 Euclid Avenue, Columbus, died at 4:20 a.m. Sunday in Riverside Methodist Hospital there.  She had been in failing health for several years.
     Mrs. Knisley was a retired school teacher and former Pike County resident.
     Born on Oct. 25, 1905 in Pike County, she was the daughter of Perry M. and Ida May (Newland) Grooms.
     Her first husband, Floyd E. Deacon, who she married on Oct. 21, 1927, died on April 21, 1932.
     On Dec.  31, 1932 she married Woodber C. Knisley.
     Surviving are four daughters, Mrs.  Franklin (Diana) Ryan of Route #1, Peebles, Mrs.  Roberto (Carol) Arpino and Mrs. Joseph (Shirley) Schrader,  both of Columbus, and Mrs. Carl (Kay) Cross of Memphis, Tenn.; one son Floyd Everett Deacon of  Columbus, 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
     Mrs. Knisley was a member of the Eighth Avenue United Methodist Church in Columbus.
     Funeral services were scheduled to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Smith Chapel Church with Rev. Paul Marhoover officiating.  Burial was to follow in Mt. Latham Cemetery, under the direction of the Boyer Funeral Home of Waverly.  Friends called at the funeral home after 2 p.m.  Tuesday.
