She was the daughter of John and Eliza Jane Dawson Luther.
In April of 1914 she was united in marriage to George H. Bliss and to this union two sons were born, George L. Bliss of Jasper, Ohio and Robert H. Bliss of Lawndale, California.  The husband and sons survive also surviving are one grandchild, Nancy Ann Bliss of Jasper, three sisters, Irene Moats and Alice Brown of Waverly, Mary Grimes of Chicago, Illinois.  Three sisters preceded her in death: Sadie Luther, Mrs. Rosa Butts, Mrs. Susie Kestrel, a brother, William, and also her father and mother.
Mrs. Bliss was converted at Pleasant Hill Church early in life.  She remained true to her faith in her Savior, her life one of complete devotion to her family.   Her neighbors and friends knew her everyday life to be a living testimony.
Those who knew and loved her for her kindness and thoughtfulness shall miss her beyond measure, and her memory shall live in their hearts.
It is our comfort to know that although her earthly house shall dissolve she has a building of God not made by hands, eternal in the Heavens.

Our loved one at last has found
The link  "twist mortal and divine
Tho now she'll sleep in hallowed ground,
She lives in memory's sacred shrine,
And there she freely moves about
A spirit that has left the clay
And in the times of stress and doubt,
Sustains her friendship thru the day.

This one we love can never die,
The outward forms but disappears.
And I shall think of her
When I, am moved to tears.
She whispers to me thru the gloom
Kind words of comfort and of cheer.
When hope has flickered to a spark,
I'll feel her gentle spirit near.

She's one of those splendid souls gone on ahead,
Death does not end our love so true.
We think of her alive-not dead.
This one who has been so gentle, so fine,
God called her and she has found
The link `twixt mortal and Devin.
