Dorothy A. Harris

Dorothy A. Harris , 77, of Harris Road, Piketon, died 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 1995 at Sierra Vista Community Hospital, Sierra Vista, Ariz.

She was a homemaker and attended the Piketon-Jasper United Methodist Church.

Born May 11, 1917, in Rarden, Ohio, she was the daughter of Ora Creech and Edna McJunkin. On March 11, 1939, she married Calvin W. Harris, who preceded her in death on September 5, 1989. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John and Roger Creech.

She is survived by one son, Paul Wayne and wife Thelma Jo Harris of Piketon; five grandchildren, Brian, Joshua, Dustin, Ethan, and Paul Jo Harris; one brother, James Robert Creech, of Lucasville; and two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Lora) Henson of Sierra Vista and Mary Bierly of Piketon.

Funeral services were to be held 1 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Howe-Wheeler-Boyer-Hornback Funeral Home, with Rev. Donovan Humble officiating. Burial was to follow in Mt. Joy Cemetery, Rarden.
