Woods, Charles Wesley 

     Charles Wesley Woods, 81, a retired farmer of Peebles, Route #1, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at his residence in the Beaver Ridge neighborhood.  He had been in ill health for the past year.
     A native and lifelong resident of Pike County, he was born on Dec. 4, 1882, a son of Samuel and Mary (Copas) Woods.
    On March 3, 1907 he married the former Grace L. Grooms, who survives.
     In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Roy A. Woods, West Alexander, Ohio; Woodrow J. and Jesse J. Woods both of Peebles, Route #1; four daughters, Miss Bertha Woods at home, Mrs. Inez McKay, Hillsboro, Mrs. Retha Beekman, Idaho and Mrs. Ethel Beavers of Peebles Route #1, 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
     Mr. Woods was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, six brothers and one sister.
     He was a member of the Beavers Chapel Church where funeral services are scheduled to be held at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Homer Swearingen officiating.
     Burial will follow in White Oak Cemetery under the direction of Botkins Funeral Home of Waverly
