- Funeral service will be held Saturday for Pike County native, Bessie Nace, who died Monday at Riverside Hospital, Columbus.Nace was born in Pike County on September 6, 1918 to parents, Fred and Flossie (Yoakum) Wilburn of Latham.
She is survived by her husband, Alpheus Nace; son , Vernon Nace of Latham; one daughter, Carolyn McJunkin of Latham; five grandchildren; two sisters, Blanche Huster of Waverly, and Freda Sattefield of Bainbridge.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Springs. Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday.
Burial will follow at Washburn Cemetery.
