Burkitt, Harry Delbert 

Age 80, of State Route 772, died 5:10 a. m. December 13, 1995 at his home.
He was a retired timber worker, a farmer, a former Camp Creek Township Trustee with 20 years of service and a member of the Cotties Corner Church.
Born May 9, 1915, at Piketon, he was the son of John and Sylvia Grooms Burkitt, who preceded him in death.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Orville and Harold Burkitt; one sister, Olive Sims; and two great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Crilla P. Dunn Burkitt, whom he married on February 8, 1937; two sons, George A. Burkitt and John R. Burkitt, both of Piketon; one daughter, Mrs. Terry (Frances) Klinker of Waverly, two brothers, Edgar Burkitt of Springfield, Ohio, Bob Burkitt of Taylor, Ariz.; two sisters, Betty Steinhauer of Jasper, Mary Jordan of Piketon; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 11 a. m. Saturday at Cotties Corner Church with the Rev. Jimmie Williams officiating.  Burial followed in the Cotties Corner Church Cemetery. Friends called at the Botkin Funeral Home, Waverly, from 4 to 8 p. m. Friday and at the church one-half hour prior to the service on Saturday.
