Funeral services for Fred M. Vandergriff, 74, of Rt. 1, Waverly, were held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, with Rev. R. G. Hunble officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery here. Friends called at the funeral home after 2 p. m. Monday until the final rites.
Mr. Vandergriff died at 1:20 a. m. Sunday in the Pike County Hospital, following a short illness.
A native of Pike County, he was a ____, self-employed cabinet maker.
Born on February 25, 1900, he was a son of James and Susan (Halterman) Vandergriff, both of whom preceded him.
On November 2, 1920, he married the former Evelyn Birtcher, who survives him.
In addition to his wife, one son, Robert Vandergriff of Rt. 1, Waverly, also survives.
Mr. Vandergriff was also predeceased by one sister, and three brothers.
