Mrs. Florence S. Bolen
, 63, of Rt. 5, Lucasville, died at 11:30 a.m. Monday (April 1971) at her residence on Gander Hook Road, following an extended illness.
Born on Oct. 17, 1907 in Roanoke, Va., she was a daughter of Joseph and Francis (Shockley) Swain. Her husband, Elijah G. Bolen died on Apr. 18, 1950.
Surviving are her father, Joseph Swain of Rt. 5, Lucasville; two daughters, Mrs. Jacqueline Deskins of Waverly, and Mrs. Ernestine Smith of Rt. 5, Lucasville; four grandchildren. and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Cecil Swain of Indianapolis, Ind.; and two sisters, Mrs. Emily Varney of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Mildred Banfield of Warren, Michigan.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly, with burial following in the Howard Cemetery in Camp Creek neighborhood. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday.
