Noble County Historical Society

The Noble County Historical Society is a non-profit group preserving Noble County, Ohio's history for the future. At the present time the group is working on the restoration of the "old" Noble County Jail to be made into a museum and information center. The original cells on the first floor are to remain. We also care for Heritage Park at Noble County Fairgrounds that include relocated covered bridge, one room school, church, and log cabin. We are also active with the Noble County Tourism in preserving the other covered bridges in Noble County, site of USS Shenandoah Crash, site of First Oil well in North American, and site of a narrow gauge railroad (with a flag station and original caboose).
