William F. Lake, 76, 221 S. Jackson st., a member of Molders' Union, Local No. 181, died Thursday morning at St. Elizabeth hospital following an illness of a few days. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C. H. Muegernberg, Lynn, Ind., and Mrs. Edward Jelly, Richmond, Ind.; one brother and three sisters, of Cincinnati. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 7:15 a.m. at Walters' funeral parlors and at Holy Trinity church at 7:45 a.m. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. John Landek, 59, of 202 Wortman av., died at Good Samaritan hospital Wednesday night after a long illness. He was born in Hungary and had resided in Dayton 41 years.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Guy Vines of Dayton, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at 10 a. m. Saturday at the Guy J. Magetti funeral home, 324 N. Broadway, and at 10:30 a. m. in the Hungarian Evangelical Reformed church, 626 Blaine st., by the Rev. Funeral rites for J. F. Lane, 70, of Fletcher, who died at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the home of his brother, Dr. A. H. TIPP CITY--Joseph Frederick Lang, 74, of 21 Bowman avenue, died at 6:00 p.m. yesterday at Brown hospital, U. S. Veterans Administration center, Dayton. He was a retired employee of the Buckeye Brass and Iron company, Dayton, and a Spanish-American War veteran. Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Coppock and Lee Memorial home here, with Rev. COUGHING SPELL FATAL TO GIRL

Lois Ann Lang, 5-year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Lang (nee Grimme), died suddenly Sunday at 11:45 p.m. at the residence, 200 Clover st., following a coughing spell. She had been suffering from whooping cough for four weeks, but had not been confined to her bed and seemed to be on the road to recovery.

Following the attack and after she lapsed into unconsciousness police worked with a pulmeter in an effort to revive the child.

She was a member of the juvenile department of Council 63, Catholic Ladies of Columbus, members of which will conduct services at the residence at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. She also belonged to the Guardian Angel society of Holy Trinity church. She had been a pupil in the kindergarten of the Ruskin school.

Her father, Vincent Lang, is vice president of the C. W. Lang Tool Co. Besides her parents she leaves her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Lang and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Grimme, and her great-grandmothers, Mrs. Rose Binger and Mrs. Josephine Lange.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 8 a.m. from the residence, 200 Clover st., and at 8:30 at Holy Trinity church. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.

TRAIN VICTIM IS IDENTIFIED
Stepson Recognizes Body as That of John Lauber

The man who was killed by a B. & O. train at the Keifer st. crossing Thursday was identified Thursday night at the C. E. West undertaking establishment as John Lauber, 72, of 435 Maryland av. The identification was made by Carl Weidner, Lauber's stepson.

Lauber was crossing the tracks shortly before 6 o'clock Thursday morning when he was struck by the train. Death was immediate.

The widow, two daughters, three sons and two step-sons survive.

Funeral services will be held at 7:30 o'clock Saturday morning at the late residence and at 8 o'clock at Holy Rosary church. Burial will be made in Calvary cemetery.

Mrs. Thelma C. Lawrence, 39, of 13 Hess st., died at 1:10 a. m. Friday in St. Elizabeth hospital after four months' illness.

Mrs. Lawrence was born in Dayton. She is survived by her husband, Charles M.; her stepfather, Ed. Lundsford; a daughter, Mrs. Estella Ebbing; two sons, Charles M. Jr., in the U. S. Navy at Norfolk, Va., and James Lee, and a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Spencer.

Mr. Lawson, a laborer, died Monday in Miami Valley hospital. He was born in Selma, Ala., and had resided in Dayton 30 years.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Tigner and Mrs. Geraldine Reese of Dayton; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Pettaway and Miss Rose Lawson of Selma; two brothers, William and David Lawson of Selma, and six grandchildren.

The funeral of Mrs. Frank Lee, 26, who died of pneumonia Wednesday night at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clatty, 640 East First street, will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and burial will be made at Willow Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Lee, before her marriage three years ago at Indianapolis, was Miss Helen Clatty of this city. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at St. Johns Lutheran Church for Mrs. Bessie Leis, age 75 of 119 South Third Street. Mrs. Leis died Thursday at Miami Valley Hospital. She was a native of Montgomery County and a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Leis was a member of the St. Johns Church.

CALVIN J. LEIS, DIES MONDAY; RITES YESTERDAY

Funeral services for Calvin J. Leis, who died Sunday night at his home, 1220 W. Centerville road, were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at the Brough Memorial funeral Home.

The Rev. Wesley J. Runk of St. John's Lutheran Church officiated. Burial was in Hillgrove cemetery.

A life-long area resident, Mr. Leis had been employed as a carpenter for Roy Wagner, Miamisburg contractor.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Flora L. Shaw of Liberty, Mrs. Clova Good, Mrs. Cleo Vorhis, Mrs. Lillian Sheets, all of Miamisburg; and Miss Adra Leis at home; four sons, Franklin of Miamisburg, James of Germantown, Junior Lee and Robert, both of Miamisburg; a sister, Mrs. Julia Early, and a brother, George W. Leis, both of Miamisburg; and 14 grandchildren.

LAST RITES HELD FOR CARRIE LEIS

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p. m. for Mrs. Carrie M. Leis, 54, wife of Calvin Leis of the Dayton-Springboro road. Mrs. Leis dropped dead of a heart attack while working in a garden at her home last Friday.

Services were from the Brough Memorial home with Rev. H. Grady Shoffner officiating. Burial was in Hillgrove cemetery.

Surviving in addition to the husband are five daughters, Mrs. Flora L. Shaw of R. R. 7, Dayton; Mrs. Clova Good and Mrs. Cleo Vorhis of Miamisburg, and Lillian Marie and Adra Ann Leis at home; four sons, Franklin of Dayton, and James, Junior Lee and Robert at home; her mother, Mrs. Flora Whitman of Dayton; three brothers, William of Jacksonburg, Charles of Miamisburg, and George Whitman of Dayton; a sister, Mrs. Florence Arnold of Germantown, and four grandchildren.

CLAYTON E. LEIS DIES TUESDAY; RITES ARE FRIDAY

Illness which extended since last November ended in the death of Clayton E. Leis, 64, lifelong Miamisburg resident, at his home, 434 Buckeye street at 11:15 a. m. Tuesday.

Mr. Leis was well known throughout the Miamisburg area having served as a yard foreman for the Grove & Weber Lumber company for 34 years. He left the Grove & Weber firm in January of 1953 to take a position as custodian at the intermediate school, where he served until his illness last November.

He was born in Miamisburg July 25, 1890 and was a member of St. John's Lutheran church.

Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Bessie Saylor Leis; three daughters, Mrs. Harry (Velma) Gephart, Mrs. Lee (Alma) King and Miss. Janet Leis; three sons, Chester, Forest, and Richard; two brothers Calvin and George; one sister, Mrs. Adam Early; one granddaughter, Suzanne Leis, all of the Miamisburg area.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday at the Gebhart and Schmidt funeral home, with Kenneth Sauer, student pastor at St. John's Lutheran church, officiating in the absence of Rev. J. S. Herold. Burial will be in Hill Grove cemetery.

EDWARD C. LEIS RITES WEDNESDAY

Funeral services for Edward C. Leis, 83, well known retired farmer in this vicinity, who passed away at Miami Valley Hospital Sunday evening at 11 O'clock, were held Wednesday afternoon from the Brough funeral home with the Rev. H.F. Hamburger officiating. Burial was made in Hill Grove cemetery.

Mr. Leis had suffered a fractured right hip in a fall January 26 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Adam Early, Springboro Road, with whom he resided, and was removed to the hospital last Thursday. He spent his entire life east of Miamisburg, and was a member of St.John's Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Louise Peterman Leis in 1939.

He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Early; three sons, Clayton, Calvin and George W.; one brother, George A. Leis; 19 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ida May Leis, 68, who was found dead at her home on East Central avenue about 11 a.m. Wednesday, will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Brough funeral home. Rev. H. Grady Shoffner will officiate and burial will be in Hill Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Leis, a lifelong resident of this community, had been in ill health for the past ten years. It is thought that death had come to her several hours before her body was discovered. She was a member of the Reformed church.

Survivors include her husband, William A., two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Brough and Mrs. Della Roof; three brothers, Herman, Charles and Vernon Sheets, all of Miamisburg.

Memorial Funeral Home for Mr. James R. (Fat) Leis, age 50, of 150 1/2 South Main Street. Mr. Leis died Sunday afternoon at Kettering Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Leis was a lifelong area resident and was a truck driver for the Dayton Construction Company. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Flora Shaw of Dayton, Mrs. Clova Good of Miamisburg, Mrs. Lillian Sheets of Miamisburg and Mrs. Adra Coleman of Miamisburg; three brothers, Franklin and Robert of Miamisburg and Junior of Franklin.

Pastor William Paul officiated at the services and burial was at Hillgrove Cemetery.

MRS. MARY LEIS, 73, DIED AUG. 27

Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the Gebhart & Schmidt Funeral Home, for Mrs. Mary A. Leis, 73, of 4945 Leis road who died Saturday morning at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.

The Rev. Wesley J. Runk of St. John's Lutheran Church officiated. Burial was in Hill Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Leis had been in failing health for some time and hospitalized since suffering a stroke the previous week. Born at old Fairfield, now Fairborn, in Greene County, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gebhart, she was a member of St. John's Church and the Gander Swamp Home Demonstration Club.

Surviving are her husband, George A. Leis, a member of the Miami Township Board of Trustees; two brothers, Edward Gebhart of Centerville and Howard Gebhart, Wilmington; and a sister, Mrs. George Rowan of Eaton.

Native of Germantown Vicinity Had Resided Near Miamisburg Fifty Years

Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Louisa Leis, 72, of the Springboro Road, who died very suddenly at her home Saturday evening at 10:15 o'clock, were held Tuesday afternoon from the Gebhart Lutheran Church with Rev. Charles W. Cassel of West Carrollton, officiating. Burial was made in Hill Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Leis' health had been failing for the past several months, but her death came as a shock to her many relatives and friends. She and her husband had just retired for the evening when she was stricken suddenly with a heart attack. She was born near Germantown May 11, 1867 and lived in the Miamisburg community for Fifty years. She was a member of the Gebhart Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Ed. C. Leis; three sons, Clayton Leis, Calvin Leis, George Leis, and one daughter, Mrs. Julia Early, all of Miamisburg; three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Clymer, Mrs. Annie Clymer, Miss Lillie Peterman and one brother, William Peterman, all of Germantown; also 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Wm. Leis, who died Sunday, November 6, 1921, aged 83, was born in Miami township, Montgomery county, Ohio, November 20, 1838, a son of George and Salome (Leis) Leis; his paternal grandfather, John Peter Leis, a native of Pennsylvania, lived and died in Berks county, that state, and after his widow, formerly Catherine Keiser, came to Miami township and died here. The maternal grandfather of William Leis, also named John Peter Leis, a native of Berks county, Pa., settled in Miami township, Montgomery county, Ohio, in 1836, and the parents of Wm. coming the same year. The children of Geo. Leis were named John A., William, Rebecca, Peter, and Ella (Mrs. George Long.)

Wm. Leis was reared in Miami township, where he had always resided. He was educated in common schools and followed farming all his life.

He married Rachel, daughter of Henry P. and Sarah (Eagle) Treon, and they had five children: Edward C., Agnes A., (Mrs. Joseph Kehrle), William A., Ida (Mrs. Henry Gunder), Geo A., 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was a member of the Reformed church. For 21 years he was Township Trustee. He was an industrious and progressive farmer, and made a success of his calling, and attained a high position in the esteem and friendship of his neighbors. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand to all worthy undertakings, and was charitable in his disposition, as well as liberal in his aid to the support of churches and schools.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at Gebharts church by Rev. L. P. Pence. Interment at Hill Grove cemetery.

Catherine (Zehring) Leiser, 88, of Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Miamisburg, passed away Jan. 9 at Methodist Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur R., on Sept. 5, 1983.

She is survived by a son and Daughter-in-law, Thomas and Nancy Leiser of St. Paul, Minn.; two grandchildren, Ann Nelson and David Leiser.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday from the Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home with Rev. P. Daniel Fant officiating. Burial Hillgrove Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Catherine Lentz, 70, who died Saturday at her home on the Eaton pike, will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the residence and at 2 p.m. at Bear Creek church.

Mrs. Lentz was the daughter of Abraham and Sarah Erbaugh and the widow of Aaron Lentz. Death was caused by cerebral hemorrhage.

Surviving are one son, Everett A.; four daughters, Mrs. Bertha Eby, Mrs. Della Mumma and Mrs. Ethel Weeks, all of Dayton; three sisters, five brothers and 17 grandchildren.

LEONARD--Lawrence E., husband of Margaret Leonard, died Saturday morning at 3:30 at his home, 116 Heaton avenue, age 60 years and 6 months. Funeral Tuesday morning, May 6, at 7 o'clock at the residence, and at St. Mary's church at 7:45. Interment Calvary.

Services for Mrs. Anna Lesher, 75, of 69 South Dixie drive, will be held at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at Routsong funeral home, Brown street at Irving avenue. Burial in David cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Mrs. Lesher died suddenly early Friday afternoon in Brookville in an auto driven by Mrs. Emma Kohl of Southern Hills. The two were en route to visit friends in Brookville. Coroner Robert E. Zipf said death was due to natural causes. Mrs. Lesher is survived by a brother-in-law, James Lesher of Dayton.

The funeral of Herbert O. Lesher was held Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the residence, 930 Valley street, and at 2 o'clock at Trinity Reformed church. Rev. N. B. Mathas officiated. Burial was made in Woodland cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ida D. Lewis, 74, of 121 Marson dr., who died suddenly of a heart attack at 5:30 a. m. Monday, will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Marker funeral home, 1706 N. She had been a resident of Dayton for the past 31 years and was a member of the Grace M. E. church.

JOSEPH LINDNER FOUND IN STICKE'LS BREWERY WITH HIS NECK BROKEN

Joseph Lindner, foreman of the Stickel brewery, died in his home, 914 Brown street, yesterday morning at 7:30. The cause of his death is a mystery. He was found by Phillip Kemp, the night watchman, on Monday evening, in the brewery, lying at the head of the stairs leading into the cellar. When found he was unconscious and seemed to be suffering great pain. Kemp moved him so that his head rested against the wall, until others came, when he was carried into the office, where stimulants were administered, and for a time he revived. He was then carried to his home, and Mr. McIlhenny sent for, who prescribed for him without giving any relief. About midnight Dr. Wilson was called, but was unable to relieve the sufferer. He was conscious at short intervals after he was found. The circumstances surrounding the death led to the belief that possibly violence had been used and that someone was responsible for his death. The Coroner was called, and after a careful investigation of the circumstances attending his death, ordered a post mortem examination. Drs. Reeve and Iddings, at the request of the Coroner, held a post mortem.

They found a slight scalp wound on the back part of the head, but the brain was uninjured. Lungs, heart, liver, kidneys and other organs of the body were in a healthy condition, but his neck was broken. The spinal cord was not severed, but was badly lacerated between the fifth and sixth cervical vertebrae, which caused his death. How this was done is not known, and may always remain a mystery.

One theory is that Mr. Lindner fell as he was coming up the stairway when near the top and struck his head against the cellar door. Another theory is that he fell from an attack of heart disease and struck his head against the wall. Still another is that he was struck and knocked down.

In the afternoon, it is stated he had some trouble with William Becherer, and that he ordered Becherer to leave the room, which he refused to do. Soon after William Stickel came in and put Becherer out. About an hour later Becherer was there again, but what occurred between him and Lindner is not certainly known. Alexander Sear, who lives on Brown street, and who was at the brewer at the time, says that he heard Lindner fall, and that Becherer was in the room at the time and led him out telling him to go away. A number of parties state that they heard Becherer say that he was sorry that he hit the old son of a b----.

Becherer was sent to the work house yesterday for another offense, and was visited at that place by a representative of the Journal in company with the Coroner and others. Becherer's statements to the Coroner threw but little light on the mystery; he admitted that he shoved Lindner down and told where and how he fell, but his statements were in conflict with those of other gentlemen. His statement that he was not angry with Lindner and had no wish whatever to hurt him, but when Lindner tried to pull him out he pushed him down and walked out of the brewery.

On Monday night, when Mr. Lindner seemed to be conscious, Mr. Stickel, in the presence of Dr. McIlhenny and others, asked him if any one hit him, and he said "No." He stated that he was overcome with heart disease and fell. This question was repeated several times, and each time he answered that he was not struck by any one. The Coroner will take testimony in the case Friday morning, beginning at 10 o'clock. This investigation may bring to light the facts in the case.

Mr. Lindner was in the sixty-fourth year of his life; he was of German birth, and came to Dayton some years ago from Cincinnati, and has been working for Mr. Stickel for several years. He is said to have been a valuable hand. He leaves a wife and six children, some of whom are married. Mr. Lindner was one of the most faithful of the men employed in the brewery. The verdict of the Coroner will be awaited with much interest.

Funeral services for Mrs. Flora Jeanette Lightner, 52, wife of William Lightner, of 38 Mary avenue, who died Sunday afternoon in Grant hospital, Columbus, will be held in her late residence tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Shiloh cemetery.

Funeral services for Robert W. Lilly, 63, retired salesman and Dayton resident for 27 years who died Friday in the Good Samaritan hospital will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Graham funeral home, 1850 Wayne av. by Rev. Sheridan Walker. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery.

Mr. Lilly resided at 225 Howard st. He is survived by his wife, Myrta; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Lilly of Point of Rock, Md.; a brother, Gideon; and three sisters, Clara, Bessie and Laura, all of Maryland.

Friends may call at the funeral home after Sunday noon.

AGED WOMAN WHO DIED IN NEW YORK

The funeral of Mrs. Clemintine Lincoln, mother of J. B. Lincoln, of 1326 Epworth avenue, was held at Hopwell, New York, where she lived most of her life.

Another son, I. J. Lincoln, of Canandaigua, New York, four daughters, all of New York, and one sister and brother, also of New York survive.

Mrs. Lincoln also is survived by nine great-grand-children and 22 grand-children.

WILLIAM LINEHAM - Funeral services for William Lineham, 36, who died at his residence, 1635 Rose st., Saturday, were conducted Tuesday at 8:15 a. m. at the residence and at 8:45 a. m. at Holy Family church. Burial was made in Memorial Park cemetery.

The funeral of Augustus Linsmayer, who died Thursday at the St. Elizabeth hospital, at the age of 30, was held Monday morning from the residence, 1611 East Third street, and at St. Mary�s church at 8:30. The cause of his death was influenza. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Augustus Edward Linsmayer.

DAYTON YOUTH KILLED BY TRAIN

Sheriff Phil Kloos, Thursday, was investigating the death of Karl Linsmayer, 19, of 226 N. Orchard st., who was killed at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday when his auto was struck by a Pennsylvania train at the Brookville crossing.

According to Sheriff Kloos, Linsmayer had just taken his fiance, Miss Lola Aldrich, to her home in Brookville and was returning to the N. Orchard st. address, the home of Mrs. Helen Difford [sic Gifford], a sister.

Members of the train crew were to be questioned as to the details of the accident. Linsmayer was killed instantly and his car was demolished, the officers said. Until two years ago Linsmayer lived at the O. S. and S. O. home at Xenia.

Surviving are Mrs. Difford [sic Gifford] and another sister, Louise. Funeral arrangements were being made Thursday.

Rites for Carl Linsmayer, 19, of 226 N. Orchard st., will be conducted Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the residence. Interment will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

Linsmayer was killed early Thursday morning when his automobile was struck by a train at the Brookville crossing. He is survived by his sisters, Mrs. Helen Gifford, with whom he made his home, and Mrs. Louise Pitts, Bellevue apartments, and an uncle, Frank Johnson, former police officer.

SON OF LOCAL MAN FOUND DEAD; BULLET IN HEAD

Found dead in his bed in a room of a hotel in Mechanicsburg, Thursday morning, Kemp Linville, 30, whose father is T. J. Linville, of the Soldiers Home, is believed to have committed suicide, through the fact that a revolver was found at his side. Linville had shot himself twice in the head. No reasons have been assigned.

Mrs. Stella Duncan Linville, 77, of 12 W. Hudson Ave., died Wednesday. She was the widow of Ernest Linville, who died in 1953. Survivors: three daughters, Mrs. Shirley Malone, Mrs. Trudie Gates and Margaret Linville of Dayton; a son, Herman R. of Savannah, Ga.; two sisters, a brother and a grandchild. HEART DISEASE PROVES FATAL

Following an illness of heart disease lasting three weeks George A. Little, 74, died at 2:15 a.m. Monday at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Jessie M. Rankin, 1945 E. Third st. He formerly lived near Gallipolis. During the past 10 years or more he had been making his home with his daughter.

Besides his daughter he leaves a son, George B. Little, of Gallipolis, and a granddaughter, Virginia Rankin.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Rankin residence. The body will be taken to Gallipolis for burial.

The funeral of Percy Little, who was fatally injured when he fell from a Big Four freight at the Miami river bridge, will be held at Hamilton, the body having been taken there Friday. His mother, Mrs. Julia Little, came to this city to claim the body.

The funeral of Mrs. Mary Littlejohn, who died Friday in St. Elizabeth hospital, was conducted Monday morning at 8 o'clock at the Krug and Litkowski undertaking parlors and at 8:30 o'clock in Holy Trinity church. Burial was in Calvary cemetery.

Thomas E. Lockwood, 64, died Tuesday at 6:45 a.m. at Good Samaritan hospital where he had been ill since Aug. 4. He was born in Cincinnati and resided here for the past 50 years. His death followed an illness of four months. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. F. A. Meyers, 1349 Salem av.

Funeral services of Henry Loebig, 86, who died Wednesday at the residence, R.R.4, wee conducted Friday afternoon at the late residence. Burial was made in Woodland cemetery. He leaves two sons and two daughters.

LOHMAN, Mrs. Emma L., age 78, died at her residence, 324 Illinois av., Thursday. Survived by 1 daughter, Mrs. J. Rowland Wells of Dayton; 2 sons, Lester L. of Dayton and Dr. Marion L. of Hawaii; 2 brothers, Eddie L. and Francis M. Anspaugh of Miamisburg; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. Robert Long, 56, former employe of the Egry Register Co., died suddenly at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at his residence, 1017 Edison st. Surviving are his widow, Rose; three sons, Robert, Woodrow and Clifford; two daughters, Violet Long and Mrs. Ruth Evans; a brother, two sisters and one grandchild.

Funeral services of James Longman, 25, who committed suicide at 6 o'clock Tuesday morning by shooting himself in the chest, will be held Thursday at the home of an uncle, Raymond Kenworthy, residing two miles southeast of Eaton.

The Longman family moved to Dayton from Eaton several months ago. The deceased is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Longman and two brothers, Arba Longman of Eaton and Arthur Longman of Dayton. He was born at Camden, but most of his life had been spent in Eaton. The shooting took place at the home of his mother, 1165 School Place. Burial will be held at the Mound Hill cemetery.

Funeral services for Edward Longstreet, 62, who died Friday morning at St. Elizabeth hospital, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Frank Riesinger's funeral parlors. Burial will be in Muller cemetery. He roomed at 1815 W. Third st.

Funeral services for Rita Losh, 11-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard J. Losh, 2019 Revere av., who died at St. Elizabeth hospital, Monday at 3 a. m., will be conducted at the Westbrock funeral home Wednesday at 8:15 a. m., followed by requiem mass at St. Anthony's church at 9 a.m. Burial will be made in Calvary cemetery. The body may be viewed at Westbrock's Tuesday night.

LOUGH, Wilbur B., age 83, of Dayton, died Thursday at Miami Valley Hospital. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite. He is survived by 3 sisters, Freda Myers, Madeline Tyler and Theresa Hanni; 3 brothers, Edgar, Charles & Robert, all of Indiana; 1 sister-in-law, Agnes Hoke of Dayton; several nieces & nephews. Funeral services for Abraham P. Loudenback of Urbana who died in St. Elizabeth hospital Saturday night were conducted Sunday at 2:30 p. m. at the Humphries funeral parlors, Urbana. Interment was in that city. He is survived by three sons, Paul of Dayton and Clifford and Arthur of Urbana.

Monday morning, at half past [illegible] o'clock, John Lukaszewitz, aged [illegible] years and 4 days. Services for Clement C. Lukey, 81, of 1503 N. Main st., will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Carrigan funeral home, 2201 N. Main st. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Lukey died at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at the County hospital after a long illness. A life resident of Dayton and Montgomery county, he had been an insurance agent and sales promotion man 50 years.

Surviving are a daughter, Edith of Milwaukee, Wis.; a son, Chester of New Castle, Pa., and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Mrs. Rena A. Lundberg, 83, of R. R. 6, Liberty rd., will be conducted at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday at the Ullmer funeral home, 3701 W. Third st., by the Rev. Joseph Alden.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 9 p. m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Lower Miami cemetery.

Mrs. Lundberg died at 12:15 a. m. Monday at her residence.

Mrs. Bernice P. Lynn, 56, of 350 Royal st., died at her home Friday night. She resided in Dayton for 10 years. Survived are her husband, Thomas; a son, Pellham Palmer of Los Angeles, Cal.; a daughter, Miss Gladys Palmer of Toledo; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Helen McConnel and Mrs. Fannie Taylor of Dayton, and a stepson, James Lynn of Dayton. Funeral services and burial will be held in Toledo Thursday.

The body of Miss Mayme Lyons, a Dayton woman, who died last Friday in Denver, Colo., arrived home last night in care of her sister, Miss Anna Lyons, who went West with her a month ago. Miss Lyons was 29 years old. It was thought that the change of climate would improve her health, but she sank steadily. The funeral arrangements will be announced later.
