Frog Heaven

For the readers of the JOURNAL who are not aware of the location and business facilities of this place, the following is given: Frog Heaven is in the southwestern corner of Madison township, including four sections of land, forming a two mile square tract of very fine country. We have two schools. The old academy is to be supervised the coming term by Mr. Henry Murr, and the new institute will be presided over by Mr. Robert Small. Then we have a successful agricultural implement firm, composed of Mssrs. Mahlon Emrick and Geo. W. Teeter. Also a miller and feed grinder, Mr. Uriah W. Garber, proprietor; a pork dealer, Mr. Aaron Lentz; a blacksmith, Samuel Teeter, and a successful horse jockey, Mr. J. D. Seim. We have a minister, Rev. J. C. Bright, and a line of gentlemen too numerous to mention.

It is said by some of the old farmers of this vicinity that the wheat was greatly injured by frost.
