FLEIG, GUTMANN
Resteraunt/Boarding House by same surname I am looking for a Resteraunt/Boarding House, said to have been owned by my Great Grandparents, WILLIAM FLEIG & his wife LOUISA MARY GUTMANN FLEIG. They were living & operating this             resteraunt/boarding house in the teens - 1920's in Dayton, Ohio. Can anyone help me with more information on the resteraunt/boarding house, location, etc.?? Thanking you in advance for ANY help that you may be able to provide. Linda Harbin Grubbs
[email protected]

I wrote to you just the other day in ref. to "Fleig's Resteraunt & Boarding House, as to it's location in Dayton. I have now found a picture of the resteraunt, complete with the name painted on the front window! At the same time, I found 3 post cards, addressed to my great grandparents (who owned this resteraunt), the addresses were 1108 E. 2nd. St.(postcard dated 10/3/1926) & 40 Bolten St. (postcard dated 9/3/1918 & 9/30/1920), both Dayton, Ohio. Now my question would be; which location was the resteraunt? The second question, is the building still standing? Where might I find the answer to these questions? I am sorry to be such a pest, but I would really like to know if the building is still there. I would like very much to be able to make the trip to Dayton to take pictures, if it is still standing! From the picture (complete with my great grandparents standing in front of the resteraunt), the building is 2 1/2 story brick, painted a light color with dark trim on the shutters. Any help that you might be able to give me with this will be greatly appreciated. I will be anxiously awaiting your reply!! Thank you, Linda Harbin Grubbs [email protected]
