ALTICK
Looking for information on the father of Robert I. Altick. Born Montgomery County 1896. Died at Greeneville, Darke County, 1961.  Trying to tie Robert's father to one of 9 sons of John (Johannes) Altick (Abraham, Solomon, Jacob, John, Joseph, Daniel, Peter, David, or Christopher). I have information beginning in Germany with Johannes Altig (1680). The trail ends with John Altick (previously Altig) who moved from Virginia to Montgomery County in 1818. Since the Altick name is so unusual, it would seem that Robert and his father would be linked to one of the nine sons. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Tom Higgins [email protected]

BOOTH
Can anyone give me any ideas where to look for birth and marriage records for Miamisburg and Germantown, OH? I am looking for the birth record of Harry William Booth, born 2 February, 1905. I have been to the Archives and Records center in Montgomery County, and there were no birth records for Harry. The only record I could find was his marriage record, and from this I learned he was born in Miamisburg (his death cert. just says "Ohio"). He was married 23 July, 1923, in Montgomery Co., by the Reverend Teeter (I think that's what it says--the writing is hard to read), but no church is mentioned.  Harry's parents are Charles T. Booth and Laura Mae East. Once again,      I couldn't find anything on the Booth side, although I did find Laura's birth record July 29,1873, Germantown. I couldn't find a marriage record or birth record for Charles, and I looked through several volumes for both. If anyone can help with ideas as to where to look next, or if these names sound familiar, would you please let me know?
Thank you for your time. Sorry this query is so long! Sincerely, Lisa

BOHART
Looking for any information on the BOHART family in Montgomery County possibly near Dayton especially in the 1920s and 1930s.  Family history has it that in the 1920's my great-grandfather, Clifford Bohart who lived in Newport, KY took his family to see his cousin Paul Bohart who owned a bicycle shop in Dayton, OH. Clifford's father was Henry Harry Bohart. Henry had an older brother Jacob that left KY. I think Jacob may have moved to Dayton and was the father of this Paul. I also think that Paul had a son Paul born about 1923.  Clifford also had a son Paul (my great uncle) born January 30, 1923.
The Cincinnati Paul remembers going to Dayton for a baseball game (probably in the early 1930s) where he was the catcher for the Cincinnati Team and the Dayton Paul was the catcher for the Dayton Team.

I wish to exchange information with other descendants of my gggg grandparents, Charles Eugene Louis Gabriel and Lydia (DETRA) DUTOIT. They came to the US from Switzerland about 1818, lived in Vevay, IN, for some years before 1840 when they were in Dayton.  Charles died in Dayton in 1865, Lydia in 1868. Their oldest son Charles Philippe DUTOIT (1818-1855) moved to Columbus, OH, but most of the rest of their children remained in Dayton. The daughters married into the WUICHET, DOYLE, GERLACH, SECRETIN, WILSON, and SCHROEDER families. Thanks for checking.
