MAPLE,
MURPHY
MAPLE, MURPHY - I am researching my GGGrandparnets
and beyond in Montgomery Co. Lewis MAPLE, b. Nov. 12, 1849 to (I think)
Simon and Rachel MAPLE, m. Martha Ellen (Mattie) MURPHY Dec. 25, 1872.
Lewis joined the Union Army near the end
of the Civil War and spent about 5 years fighting indians in the west before
returning to Ohio to marry and begin his family. My GGrandmother, Myrtle
May Maple was born in Dayton on Sept. 15, 1877 and her brother Orville
S. Maple was born there in June 1879. The family moved to Kansas
not long after Orville was born settling in Jefferson Co., KS and later
Polk Co., MO and Osage Co., KS. I am looking for information on the MAPLE
family before Lewis and the MURPHY family. I would appreciate any help
you can give.
