Mrs. Sam Lenkard and daughter Mignon Lenkard of Wheeling arrived Saturday evening and are guests at J. R. Dunlap's.

A. W. Voegtly of Gas City, Ind., arrived Wednesday and is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Voegtly.

Dr. E. P. Haught moved his family to Proctor, W.Va., Wednesday of last week where he has located.

John Tisher returned home Saturday evening from Marietta where he has been for several weeks.

Mrs. Lucy Dye left Tuesday to visit relatives at Antioch and to attend the wedding of a niece.

John Potts of Indiana is visiting his parents Mr. and Mrs. A.G.W. Potts of this place.

Quite a number from town attended the soldiers' reunion at Woodsfield last week.

Miss Sadie Lenkard was at New Martinsville Saturday the guest of Mrs. Sep Hall.

Capt. Charles Muhleman and J. H. O;Neill were at Wheeling Monday on business.

Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Moore arrived him Saturday morning from Parkersburg.

Bert Shaffer of Martins Ferry is the guest of his cousin, Mrs. Kate Dunlap.

Mrs. Lizzie Brown of Athens is visiting her niece, Mrs. Dr. J. M. Boice.

Ed Noll of Sistersville was the guest of friends in town Monday.

Capt. J. G. Muhleman was at Wheeling Thursday on business.

J. F. Neuenschwander was at Wheeling Monday.

Mrs. George Cauldabaugh and son left for their home at Wheeling Tuesday after short visit in town with her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Buchwald.

A. W. Voegtly left for his home at Gas City, Ind., last Tuesday after spending three weeks in town with relatives.

Miss Sarah Muhleman was at Wheeling several days the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Muhleman of the Island.

Mrs. David Hyer and two daughters Misses Grace and Helen spent Friday and Saturday at Wheeling.

Mrs. Perry of Napoleon, Ohio, arrived Tuesday to spend the winter with Rev. and Mrs. R. S. Strahl.

Miss Jennie Suter visited Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Suter at Powhatan Tuesday and Wednesday.

Mrs. Ed Schultz and daughter are spending a week with relatives at Wheeling.

J. F. Neuenschwander left on the Ben Hur Saturday for Pittsburg on a business trip.

Born, Thursday, November 23rd to Mr. and Mrs. Ed Fagert, a daughter.

J. W. Alexander was at Sistersville Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Founds and son were Wheeling visitor Wednesday.

Paul Witschey of Moundsville is visiting local relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Neff and daughter Gladys of Columbus are the guests of Mrs. Mary Bruny and other relatives.

E. A. Ambler, R. M. McInness, Rev. B.H. Wibbeler and O.A. Tisher attended the Poling meeting at Bellaire Wednesday.

Capt. J. O. Noll of New Martinsville spent Tuesday evening in town with friends.

Miss Elizabeth Dunlap was hostess to the Thimble Bee at her home Wednesday afternoon. The visitors included Miss Gladys Neff of Columbus and Miss Maud Lenkard of Wheeling. Needlework occupied the guests until 5 o'clock when luncheon was served.

Mrs. Charles Roth and Miss Estella Nething spend several days with relatives in Wheeling.

Mrs. John Rose and daughter of Clarington visited at the Cain home Wednesday evening.

Leonard Wellington of Akron was a visitor for several days at the Yaussy home.

David Tisher of Salama, W. Va., is visiting his sister Miss Eliza Tisher and other local relatives.

The Water Queen was at the wharf Thursday evening and present the play "The Road to Happiness" to a fair sized crowd.

Guy Wilt and sister Miss Myrtle were new Martinsville visitor Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Yaussy and family were weekend visitors of relatives in Roane County, W. Va.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Tisher of Steubenville motored here Sunday and spent the day with the former's brother Henry Tisher.

Miss Zona Muhleman who is teaching in Bellaire spent the weekend at her home.

Misses Phoebe and Eliza Tisher were visitors at new Martinsville Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Jr. Robinson of Pittsburgh were week end visitors at the Bare home.

Miss Mabel Yaussy who spent several weeks at her home left Sunday for Akron.

Leonard Boord of Marietta spent several days with friends in town.
