The bridge which is to be placed over the mouth of Payne's run, just below town, has arrived and will be put up this week. The Canton Bridge company has the contract for the work.

Miss Ella Wolff returned from Bellaire Saturday accompanied by her sister Mrs. A. I. Robey and cousin Miss Maggie Mellott who will visit relatives here.

Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Urpman and daughter Mrs. Cronacher of Clarington, were here Sunday.

Quite a number of our young men who are working at Jackson Ridge spent Sunday at home.

I. K. Hall has been at Waverly for some time looking after leases he has there.

Mrs. L. Barkes and Mrs. Louisa Ross went to Wheeling the first of the week.

J. W. Ward had his office repainted last week.

There is talk of sinking a shaft here for coal.
