Mrs. Emma Stephens has returned to Belmont County. Her father, William Piatt accompanied her and will remain a few weeks.

David Stephens and family and Taylor Stephens and family and Mrs. Ella Dixon visited David Trembly Sunday.

We are well pleased with The Spirit of Democracy and like to have all the home news.

Mr. Booth of this place made a business trip to Woodsfield last week.

Elmer Piatt is at home on a visit but will return to Wheeling soon.

We have had a fine rain this week. Everything is looking nice.

David Stephens made a business trip to Woodsfield Saturday.

Miss Nora Booth has been sick for some time.

Mrs. Ella Dennis visited her mother last week.

Mr. Dennis visited O. N. Dennis Sunday.

Mr. Robinson is repainting his house.

Miss Margaret Piatt is very poorly.

The time for Children's day service at Fletcher's chapel has been changed. It will be August 13th. There will also be a basket dinner and preaching in the afternoon.

E. S. Taylor and wife of Cranes Nest was visiting Mr. Taylor's father at Ozark last week.

Mrs. Effie Watson of Woodsfield spent a few days with her mother last week.

Last Sunday a crowd was pleasantly entertained by Miss Maggie Christy.

Mr. Higgins and family visited W. A. Dement near Twilight Saturday.

Minnie Jeffers attended church at New Castle Sunday evening.

John Louther of Woodsfield visited Charley Workman Sunday.

Henry Miller of Beallsville was here Saturday.
