I'm trying to find the parents of Levi Mann, b. ca 1798, probably in PA. He married Jane Bell, daughter of Benjamin Bell, the Rev. War Patriot., b. 22 May 1797. They were married 24 May 1818. From a letter from his daughter Sarah Jane Mann Bell to my cousin, she states that one of Levi's granddaughters was named Marietta (they called her Mary) after his home from which he had moved "100 years ago this year" and the letter was dated 1926. Levi moved to Paris, Edgar Co. IL where he died. Jane had predeceased him and after her death, he married Catharine E. FOX VANHOUTEN 30 Aug 1850. Levi and Jane were the parents of J. Howard, Samuel J., Hannah, Elizabeth, Levi C., Mary, Celia, Isabelle, "female", and Sarah Jane. Would appreciate any information I can get regarding Levi and especially where he was born, when he was born, and his parents and siblings. Can anyone help? Will gladly share what I have.
