HENRY R. HAINES, an enterprising young farmer of Smith township, was born at
Bellaire, Ohio, September 12, 1859, a son of Isaac W. and Susan E. (Neff)
Haines, the former of whom was born at Dover, Ohio, April 18, 1835, and the
latter was born near Frostburg, Md., March 12, 1837. They were married
November 27, 1856, and five children were born to their union, of whom two
sons and one daughter survive. Henry R. Haines was educated in the common
schools of the county, and after leaving school he engaged in farming, at
which he was occupied subsequently, and in which vocation he has attained
a rank among the most successful and enterprising. He has occupied his
present residence two years. Mr. Haines was married October 26, 1882, to
Emma McCaslin, who died February 12, 1884, leaving one daughter. On June
22, 1887, he was married to Sadie V. Ault, and they have one son.  Mr.
Haines is one of the prominent young men of the county, and is well-liked
by all.
