ASBURY, COIL, MORGAN, PARROTT, WATERS posted by Brett Parrott on Sunday, March 30, 1997

I am looking for information on my grandfather Bert Rolland PARROTT and other family members. He was born on December 27, around 1880 in Union Township, Mendon, Mercer County, Ohio. He was married at least three times. His last marriage was to my Grandmother Mable Marie MORGAN. I would like to know when and where they were married. They had one son, William Morgan PARROTT (my father). His second marriage was to a woman named Florence in Jackson City, Michigan, around 1917. I also need information on his father, Joseph J PARROTT. He was born in 1832, and lived in the same area. I don't know when he died or where he is buried. He married Harriet WATERS in 1867. He served in the 88 Ohio Volunteers during the civil war with his brother Wesley ASBURY. I believe that he moved to Battle Creek, Michigan. His father was Thomas PARROTT, and his mother was Elizabeth COIL. They were married in Fayette County, Ohio in 1814. Elizabeth's father (I believe his name was Thomas) helped found the town of Mendon with his son-in-law. Thomas Parrott was born in Parrottsville, Cocke County, Tennessee. I think that Thomas Parrott's Father, John Parrott (aka Smoking Johnnie?) came to Ohio, too. He could be buried in Hussey Cemetary with his wife, Elizabeth Hall, and his son Thomas and Elizabeth Coil. Are there any photographs or copies of family bibles out in cyberspace? If anyone has any information at all regarding these individuals, or any other family members that I haven't listed, please contact me.
