PLEASE, if you have e-mail access and own a book dealing with Mercer Co. history or genealogy, consider volunteering to do simple lookups. As you can see, volunteers and alternates are needed!

Feel free to request a look-up following these guidelines:

PLEASE limit your request to ONE name/couple per request and no more than 2 requests per day.
We want to provide a service, not find full-time employment. [smile] 

    1. Remember, most of these books can be purchased from the Mercer Co. Genealogy Society e-mail: Don Brock for an up to date publication list.

    2. Please put MERCER COUNTY LOOKUP in the subject line of your request
      to insure the message is not overlooked or accidently deleted.

    3. Send your lookup request to the e-mail address of the volunteer.

    4. In the first line of the message, please put the name of the book you are requesting the lookup .

    5. In the second line of the message, please put your name and e-mail address for reply.

    6. Describe exactly what information you wish looked up.

    7. Remember to take the time to thank the volunteer for their kindness.

    8. Make sure you pay for your copies and postage and be sure to ask the volunteer if there is anything
      you can do to repay them doing them a favor or a look up from your personal library or regular
      genealogy "haunts".

    9. Remember, they are volunteers and most have full time jobs. Be considerate in your expectations
      of length of time for their replies.

    10. In an effort to cut down on "spam" for our volunteers I have changed the e-mail addresses
      from @ to "at" so you will need to type their e-mail address into your e-mail program
      substituting @ for the word at
